License and starting the site

This is step 8, the last step of the setup wizard (required). Sites do not collect data until a license is entered. The license screen is in the Setting management menu.

1. Generate a license request

note

Before a license is installed, opening this screen may show an Error — The requested resource was not found. Details: Active License notification. This only means there is no license yet; you can ignore it.

  1. Under 1. Generate License Request, click Generate Request. An encrypted request code unique to the server is created.
  2. Save it with Save as TXT or copy it.
  3. Email the request code or file to [email protected].
