Data retention
VPN connection history is never deleted automatically; your organization's policy decides how long it is kept. Statistics, background jobs, alarm and email records are cleaned up automatically after set periods.
Change the periods in the web console under Setting management → System Configurations → Data Retention Management. Enter a Retention (days) value for each rule.
Default periods
| Group | Rule | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Aggregated Metrics | 1-Minute Statistical Data | 7 days |
| 15-Minute Statistical Data | 60 days | |
| 60-Minute Statistical Data | 365 days | |
| Background Jobs | Background Jobs (Debug Logs Only) | 10 days |
| Background Jobs (Info, Error, Warning) | 30 days | |
| Mail Notifications | Mail Notification Queue | 30 days |
| Alarm Events | Alarm Events (together with their notifications) | 30 days |
The screen also has Security and System Logs groups: expired refresh tokens, system audit logs, request logs and authentication logs. Their periods are changed on the same screen.
1-minute statistics
1-minute statistics grow quickly; consider the database size before extending them. Hourly (60-minute) statistics are enough for long-term analysis.
Raw traffic logs and log files
- The raw traffic logs of each session are stored compressed and marked with a SHA-256 hash, so you can verify that a file has not been altered. Their folder is set on the Configurator's Traffic log screen.
- Retention for the application's own log files is on the Configurator's Logging screen.
